Sixty40 is a 12 year old animation house based in Sydney. Sixty40 is in charge of packaging the festival, providing the looks and titles for the opening event. Sixty40’s Mark Simpson is the director and co-originator of the festival.

Apart from creating beautiful animation and design for all sorts of clients, Sixty40 also has both curated and created animated work for projected art works in Surry Hills and Darlinghurst. They have extensive connections in the animation world both in Australia and overseas which will ensure a unique and memorable collection.

The World Bar is an iconic bar, music venue and local business in the Kings Cross area, renowned for its imaginative fit-out within a rambling 19th Century terrace mansion on Bayswater Rd. In addition to providing a popular destination for music and entertainment, the people behind the World Bar strive to enrich their local environment with the visual elements they disseminate.

The venue is connected to the local community through regular live music and art events held over the last 10 years. The World Bar is both a venue for projection, and also a key community partner within the Kings Cross area.

The World Bar’s Steve Ward is a director and co-originator of the festival alongside SIxty40’s Mark Simpson.
